Review – Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation

Review – Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid Foundation

But when my Anastasia Beverly Hills Brow Wiz Pencil ran out, and I didn’t have the money to order a new one, I swallowed my pride and went in search of a good drugstore dupe. A quick online search led me to Maybelline for a similar pencil. And whilst there, I decided to try some other things that had a good reputation, before being drawn to the foundations. Having done most of my makeup shopping online, I was pretty impressed to see a display that talked through each foundation type and told me which one was for each skin type. After a little swatching, I settled on the Maybelline Dream Satin Liquid.

Introducing Percy – My Second Ragdoll Cat

Introducing Percy – My Second Ragdoll Cat

You know, a year ago if you told me I’d be the proud mum of 2 cats, I’d have laughed in your face. A firm dog person since childhood, the rate at which I got attached to Peggy, my first ragdoll cat, was immense. And as soon as we got her, I wanted another one, as I mentioned in my post about owning a ragdoll cat. Primarily to keep her company as ragdolls hate being alone. And on Saturday, April 21st, we picked up Percy, our beautiful little boy!

Getting Energized for Revision the Natural Way with Lean Greens

Getting Energized for Revision the Natural Way …

But when it comes to drinks, sometimes I need more than water. It’s so important to keep hydrated when studying to keep your brain functioning. But it does very little to boost your energy. I’m a caffeine fiend, but like sugar, the crash is real. I need something more natural to give me an energy boost. And the healthy drink I’ve been loving lately is Lean Greens.

Review: Organic Shop Haircare

Review: Organic Shop Haircare

My hair is poker straight, often gets greasy really quickly, and is now at the length where it constantly feels in the way. I need a shampoo that’s light, non oily, and sulphate free is always a bonus. So when Organic Shop sent me some products to try I jumped!

A Little Update – Where I’ve Been

A Little Update – Where I’ve Been

Those eagle-eyed among you may have noticed it’s been about a month since I last uploaded anything. Circumstances really forced me to take a break from blogging, and if you follow me on Twitter or Facebook, you’ll know my deadlines from University piled up and I struggled to keep on top of it. Prioritizing meant that I had to shelve the blog for a bit. Following the end of this university term, I also took a trip home, and then a week off from everything. And getting back into it has been a little hard!

High Coverage Concealer – Kat Von D Lock it vs. Tarte Shape Tape

High Coverage Concealer – Kat Von D Lock …

At the beginning of January, I decided that one of my New Years Goals was to combat my dark circle problem, so I invested in 2 of the most hyped up, high coverage concealers I’d seen; the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, and the Kat Von D Lock it Concealer. I’ve spoken already about how much I love Shape Tape, and after I run out I will definitely be investing in that one again. Having tossed aside the Lock It Concealer as soon as the Shape Tape arrived, I’m definitely trying to pick it up again a little more. Both of these concealers have done their job, but which is more worth investing your hard earned money into?

What No One Tells You About Getting a Ragdoll Cat

What No One Tells You About Getting …

I do highly recommend ragdolls if you’re thinking about getting a cat, I’m not going to lie. They are crazy affectionate, beautiful, and very charismatic. They’re more puppy like than cat like, and very rewarding pets to have. But whilst these may sound like cats that are too good to be true, there are a lot of drawbacks to having a small life to take care of. Whilst writing this post, I’m actually going through the motions of seeing if I can get a second ragdoll, a boy cat this time around. But I still only have Peggy right now.

My Master’s Applications – My Journey

My Master’s Applications – My Journey

About this time last year, I started looking at masters programs to get a better idea of which ones I wanted to do. This term alone, I planned to apply to about 8 masters programs. I’ve ended up applying to 2. My priorities have changed, and I needed to start thinking practically.

My Journey Into Feminism

My Journey Into Feminism

I identify as a feminist, but have I always thought that way? No actually, I haven’t. Only in the past 2 years have I really been smart enough to open my eyes and see beyond my own mind. And also realise that some of the crap I had been putting up with was an issue that my lack of awareness had caused me to tune out.
