High Coverage Concealer – Kat Von D Lock it vs. Tarte Shape Tape

High Coverage Concealer – Kat Von D Lock …

At the beginning of January, I decided that one of my New Years Goals was to combat my dark circle problem, so I invested in 2 of the most hyped up, high coverage concealers I’d seen; the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer, and the Kat Von D Lock it Concealer. I’ve spoken already about how much I love Shape Tape, and after I run out I will definitely be investing in that one again. Having tossed aside the Lock It Concealer as soon as the Shape Tape arrived, I’m definitely trying to pick it up again a little more. Both of these concealers have done their job, but which is more worth investing your hard earned money into?

My Beauty Wishlist

My Beauty Wishlist

There have some amazing new releases in the beauty world that I’ve been dying to get my hands on. Time to put some money aside maybe and… sorry, I can’t finish that sentence with a straight face. University is coming to an end though (*internal screaming*) and fingers crossed I’ll be getting a job (or going into a masters, but we’ll see!), earning money and can finally start buying what I want!

Reviewing the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer

Reviewing the Tarte Shape Tape Concealer

According to, well, everyone, Shape Tape is a concealer that will cover anything. Dark circles? Covered. Imperfections? Covered. Skin discolouration and dark spots? Covered. Angry red spots and emerging blackheads? You got it – covered. Honestly, with the amount of stuff this concealer could supposedly do, I was both enthralled and skeptical all in one go.

Why I’m Not Getting on with Glossier

Why I’m Not Getting on with …

Glossier coming to the UK was one of the most hyped up events in the blogger calendar. For a few weeks, Twitter was filled with affiliate links and discount codes and everyone was expressing how in love with the brand they were. All reviews were positive – “It’s definitely worth the hype!”. Even my non-blogger friends were talking about it. And finally being out of my overdraft and needing some new skincare fixes, I asked on Twitter for a handy discount code, and finally bought into the hype!

Worth the Hype? The Fenty Beauty Foundation

Worth the Hype? The Fenty Beauty Foundation

Rhianna embraced all skin tones the world over with a huge 40 shade range on her cult foundation, The Pro Filt’r Soft Matte Longwear Foundation. Beauty bloggers and vloggers the world over were raving about it. I heard nothing but good things. And people were doing everything in their power to get their hands on it.

Huda Beauty Desert Dusk – Worth the Hype?

Huda Beauty Desert Dusk – Worth the Hype?

Up until recently, I seriously thought I was the only person remotely bothered by the Huda Beauty Desert Dusk Palette. It’s colours are so eye catching and beautiful, with a selection of dazzling mattes, shimmers, metallics and a glitter shade, all set in an array of purples, pinks, golds and oranges, to create the most incredible and dramatic eye looks. From the moment I saw it, I wanted it. But at £56 it had to wait until Christmas, where my wonderful mother-in-law delivered!

December Favourites

December Favourites

As December draws to a close I’ve been hard pressed to find my favourite products. After all, Christmas brings a few new ones, and I’ve had hardly any money since October to buy anything leaving me with a surplus of products I’ve had barely any time to use and scraping around for ones I bought before the month began. Either way, I’ve managed to gather up what I’ve loved over the month of December, and having taken much better photographs than when I last tried this post, I’m ready to show you what I’ve been loving this month.

Blogmas Day 17 – The Body Shop “Frosted Berries” Range Review

Blogmas Day 17 – The Body Shop “Frosted Berries” …

I’ve already reviewed Christmas scents this season, both in candle and Lush Cosmetics form, and I’m here with another one. I already gave this one a small review in my The Body Shop Bloggers Event post, where I picked these up. But here is a full, more in depth review of the three products from the seasonal range I picked up.

Blogmas Day 16 – Winter Skincare Tips

Blogmas Day 16 – Winter Skincare Tips

It’s understandable that a mix of dropping temperatures, harsh cold breezes, central heating and less vitamin D wrecks havoc on your skin. Drying it out, making it paler and otherwise dulling your glow. But it’s not the end of the world – a few simple changes and you won’t have to ride out dull, tight and sore skin until spring.
